Section 1
What is the difference between a clinic and an agency?
A clinic is the registered provider that carries out your procedure. Its doctors plan and perform the treatment, and it is clinically responsible for your care.
An agency is not a clinic and does not perform procedures. It helps you research, compare routes, prepare your enquiry, and choose a clinic, then introduces you to it. Some agencies, including us, also offer their own packages at published prices.
Section 2
How do hair transplant agencies make money?
Agencies are usually paid by the clinics they refer patients to, or earn a margin on the packages they sell. That is not a problem in itself, but it is a commercial interest, and you should know about it.
To be plain about ours: we offer our own London and Turkiye routes at published prices, and we benefit when patients choose them. Our editorial policy explains how we handle that in what we publish.
Section 3
When does using an agency make sense?
An agency is most useful early in the decision, when you are not yet sure what to look for or which route suits you.
- You are comparing UK and overseas options and want them side by side
- You do not feel confident judging clinics on your own
- You want help preparing an enquiry so the first reply is specific to your case
- You want one point of contact while you compare
Section 4
When might going direct be better?
If you already know which clinic and surgeon you want, going direct is simpler, and you build the relationship with the clinic from the start.
Price is not predictable either way. Booking through an agency can cost more, less, or the same as going direct, depending on the arrangement and what the package includes. If you have a specific clinic in mind, ask them directly too, and compare full written quotes.
Section 5
What should you ask any agency, including us?
These questions work for any agency, and a good one will answer them without hesitation.
- How are you paid, and by whom?
- How do you choose clinics, and have you ever stopped working with one?
- Will I know which clinic and doctor will treat me, and be able to check their registration, before I pay?
- Who is clinically responsible for my treatment?
- Who do I contact if something goes wrong after treatment?
- Exactly what does the price include?
